TEACHER PROGRAMS

Training Offered by Motivational Speaker for Teachers Tim Piccirillo…

Tim makes it easy for administrators to book him.  He will speak up to 3 hours (half day with breaks) in any combination and ratio of the 3 programs below. If your in-service schedule will only allow for 90 minutes or 2 hours — or just a one-hour keynote presentation — he can also accommodate you. Here are the programs he offers:

The Magic Of Your Potential

This program is, essentially, Tim’s keynote program that can last up to 2 hours.

It stresses the following messages:

  • Your job as a teacher is THE most important vocation in the world!
  • Don’t give up on any student! EVERY child has potential!
  • It’s not what happens to you in life that matters, it’s what you do about what happens to you that makes the difference!

During “The Magic Of Your Potential”, Tim illustrate these points by telling his own story of how 3 teachers believed in him when no one else did and how these people, in addition to his parents, literally changed his life.

In addition, he shares timeless success principles that your teachers cannot only use themselves, but can introduce to their students as well. Tim has always believed that personal development always precedes professional development and this program stresses just that.

How to Motivate Students

In this fast-paced world, with information coming at students from every direction — from the internet to TV and a multitude of other media — it can not only be hard to hold a students’ attention but to keep them motivated to WANT to learn the curriculum your district is trying to teach. It’s a sad reality, but a reality nonetheless.

As a motivational speaker for teachers, Tim explains why he does what he does, and that teachers can do it with their own students too. His program discusses general motivation as well as specific techniques to get kids interested in the subject matter that teachers are required to teach.

Here’s what your teachers will learn:

  • Intrinsic vs. Extrinsic motivation
  • How “suggestion” influences students
  • The 3 “support beams” of motivation
  • How your communication affects your students’ ability to learn
  • 5 tried-and-true techniques to motivate students

Stress-Busting for the Millennium: How to Not Just Manage But REDUCE the Stress in Your Life

Let’s face it, teaching in today’s environment is stressful. From many students coming from single-parent homes, peer-pressure with the lure of drugs, behavior problems and lack of respect for teachers from students — not to mention their personal lives with the usual challenges that all humans have to endure — teachers are an amazing breed who can keep their sanity while juggling the many “hats” they wear. In this high-pressure world and environment, is it any wonder people are so stressed out?

With that in mind, this program is a stress-REDUCTION workshop that was developed specifically for teachers and human service professionals. During this engaging and practical presentation, Tim teaches a 3-pronged approach to dealing with, and ultimately, reducing the negative stress in their lives:

  1. Changing your perception of stressful events.
  2. Modifying your environment to lessen stressors.
  3. Relaxing the body and quieting the mind.

Here’s an overview:

  • 4 thought patterns that will sabotage your serenity and what you can do about it.
  • A breathing exercise that will make your stress evaporate.
  • A method to “re-train” your brain to relax and calm down — instantly!
  • The correct way to use visualization so that you can calm down and STAY calm and resourceful throughout the entire school day — and beyond!
  • How exercise is one of the best stress-relievers.
  • The benefits of meditation in a stress-reduction plan.
  • 5 other techniques proven to reduce stress.

Tim has tested each one of these techniques and methods himself and still uses several to this day to keep the negative stress in his life at bay. These are proven methods that will help teachers “maintain their cool” in the classroom.

Classroom Management

In this lively and interactive presentation Tim teaches a proven discipline “system” that allows teachers more time to teach curriculum and less time spent on constant interruptions because of problem behaviors by one or more students.  Tim addresses several  core beliefs based on the philosophy of this system as well as the changes in society and in the family that brought this methodology about.

Here are the 5 areas discussed….

  1. Teaching expectations.
  2. Techniques for maintaining your self-control in the classroom.
  3. Having “unconditional positive regard” for your students.
  4. Arranging your classroom to avoid distractions.
  5. “Refocusing”– a cutting-edge behavior management technique.

This program promises to be an eye-opener from the “business-as-usual” format of discipline that most teachers are accustomed to.  This classroom discipline program has been proven to reduce office discipline referrals by 70% or more and will save teachers hours of headaches and give them more time to teach!

And Tim GUARANTEES his program!! You read that right. If you’re not satisfied with Tim’s presentation, you simply don’t pay him.  How many speakers will GUARANTEE their program? Not many, if any. TIM DOES!!!
